An anonymous person has threatened to publish some 800 photos taken at an erotic party held in the summer bar La Brasa in Langemark-Poelkapelle, in West Flanders province.
The letter’s author demands that all of the planned events in this place be cancelled. According to the writer, “several known figures in Langemark’s political circle” were present at the party, among them Alderman Frank Gheeraert (Open Vld), reports the Krant van West-Vlaanderen.

The letter’s author claims to be in possession of more than 800 photos, of which 180 are already circulating on the instant messenger WhatsApp.

Frank Gheeraert (Open Vld), Alderman for land development, says he is outraged by the series of photos that are circulating on the social networks. In the pictures, several persons appear naked, in explicit poses. “It was a private birthday party, which was held early in the week. It is nothing other than a violation of privacy. When I received the message last night, I immediately informed the police. Moreover, Ypres’s prosecutor's office is taking this matter very seriously.’’

The author of the threats seems to be aiming at the summer bar La Brasa in the first place. “What we wish more than anything is that you take on your responsibility and cancel all of the planned events in the bar. If you do not, Langemark will be able to brag about having the hottest bar in Belgium,’’ the blackmailer writes.
