Ryanair faces its biggest strike ever on September 28Monday, 10 September 2018 16:54
They announced “the biggest strike action the company has ever seen” and said the date would be made public on Thursday at a new meeting of the unions, this time in Brussels. The date has been set, “until further notice” for 28 September, according to Didier Lebbe, permanent secretary to the CNE labour federation said on Monday, confirming an earlier report by the RTBF, the Belgian radio and television company.
“We are still awaiting the confirmation of one or two organisations to definitively validate the date,” he explained. “Certain verifications regarding the social legislations of the countries of the participating unions need, in fact, to be done before setting the final date,”Lebbe added.
This is expected to be done by Thursday’s meeting.
Unions representing Ryanair’s pilots could reportedly join the strike.
