Zero-contribution measure helps create 31,000 jobsTuesday, 04 September 2018 15:25
From 1 January 2016 to 1 January 2017, a total of 31,167 businesses created their first jobs: 16,224 in Flanders, 9,699 in Wallonia and 5,224 in Brussels. The main sectors were trade, construction and hotels, bars, cafés and restaurants.
To encourage other businesses to do so, the two ministers have launched an Internet site "www.premierengagement.be" which informs self-employed persons, small businesses and medium-sized companies on the modalities of the measure.
The measure, adopted as part of the tax shift, ends on 31 December 2020.
