All regional parks in Brussels will be closed on Saturday and Sunday due to the strong winds forecast for this weekend and waterlogged conditions on the ground, Brussels Environnement, announced on Friday.
They will reopen on Monday morning, said the service, which is responsible for environment and energy in the Brussels-Capital Region.

It recommended avoiding the region’s green spaces – parks, woods and forests - this weekend and warned, in particular, against being in the proximity of trees.

The public will be banned from those parks that Brussels Environnement is able to close. These will reopen after they are inspected and cleaned, and safety can be guaranteed there once again.  In the parks that cannot be closed, signs will be posted while guards will inform the public.
