A day dedicated to peace and remembrance was organised this Friday in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, three years to the day after the Brussels Attacks.

Several hundred schoolchildren in Molenbeek gathered in the town square on Friday morning to commemorate the victims of the attacks, also paying tribute to victims of violence all over the world.

They beat the "Drums for Peace", recited poems and sang songs evoking peace and reconciliation between communities.

"In addition to devoting this day to peace, we also wish to dedicate it to the memory of all those who lost their lives in countries at war or following the attacks that took place all over the world in recent years, "said Molenbeek mayor Catherine Moureaux.
