The number of flightswent up slightly (+0.8%) in one year, but the company has welcomed the “even faster increase” in passenger traffic.
“September is traditionally a peak month in terms of the number of passengers transported,” an airline official noted. “On one hand, businessmen and businesswomen start back flying after the holidays and, on the other, the supply of flights to holiday destinations is still significant. At the same time, there are many expatriates returning home after vacationing in their home countries, particularly on flights from Africa.”
The number of passengers increased strongly in Europe (+8.7%) and also Africa (+6%) , the carrier reported.
