Belgium has not met the 2%-of-GDP threshold for military spending, but the Prime Minister said the country had stopped cutting back on its defence budget.
“We’ve decided to stop making budget cuts in defence and move on to an investment strategy,” Michel said in a brief reaction. “We shall continue to do so to ensure security and stability.”
