Copenhagen Economics is proud to welcome our newest Managing Economist, Paulo Abecasis, who joins our Brussels office.
Paulo brings with him more than 10 years of experience in significant European merger and anti-trust cases which have included work on the Google Shopping and Android antitrust investigations by the European Commission, and on the Siemens/Alstom, EG/Asda, Qualcomm/NXP, and Teva/Allergan mergers.
The arrival of Paulo is one of several major steps in the implementation of a Truly European strategy that sees Copenhagen Economics strengthening its position as a significant provider of expert economic arguments for parties in major merger and anti-trust cases with the European Commission and national competition agencies. We look very much forward to Paulo coming on board to help identify the Hard Facts and present them as Clear Stories for our clients.
“We are convinced that Paulo’s experience will prove a very effective addition to the current team, and we are looking forward to welcoming him as an integral part our Brussels operations. Paulo joins a dynamic working environment rooted in the Nordic working style, where our truly flat hierarchy facilitates a high level of cooperation with our colleagues across all locations and allows us to stay close to our clients. Paulo brings a wealth of experience that will further strengthen our ability to offer help to parties in major competition cases right across Europe.”
