The “Open Church Days” which honour Belgium’s religious heritage will open their doors to the public this weekend.
Over 500 places of worship take part in this edition with various activities such as concerts, visits, walks, games, exhibitions, conferences and shows on the agenda.
This year the organisers chose the theme “Itinérêves” (Dream routes) as the red thread for the various events.
“It’s a call to venture on the fine line between real and imaginary. Whether it’s wandering from one church to another, simply meditating in a peaceful place or practicing an artistic activity, everything is good to allow this intermingling of the two worlds,” the organisers say.
