At around 07:20 on Tuesday morning, a fire broke out on a terrace in the Brussels municipality of Auderghem.
On Boulevard du Souverain, the terrace of a 2-strorey house with a sushi restaurant on the ground floor caught fire.
The Brussels Fire Brigade have announced that all residents are safe and that the fire did not spread to neighbouring properties.
On site, the fire services used two fire engines and two ladder trucks.
The fire has necessitated extensive excavation, and the roof has been covered to avoid further damage from potential rainfall.
The second flood has been rended uninhabitable, while the first floor has experienced slight water infiltration.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
