For anyone seeking to enjoy the sunny weather on the Belgian coast, the national railway company SNCB have made additional trains available to passengers on Tuesday and Wednesday.
With temperatures reaching 30°C over the week, many people are anticipated to flock to the seaside.
As they did in July, the SNCB has decided to add additional trains, 16 in total, on Tuesday and Wednesday in order to facilitate these trips.
- Around 22,000 SNCB trains cancelled so far this year
- Belgian rail scraps over 30 trains due to extreme heat on Tuesday
These trains will run on the Brussels Midi-Ostende, Louvain, Ostende, Louvain-Blankenberge, and Hasselt-Blankenberge lines.
The company has also asked passengers to plan their route carefully and to use their app on a frequent basis to monitor the train schedule.
