On Thursday, a 47-year-old woman died after crashing her car into a tree in the Flemish town of Kruisem.
The accident occurred shortly after 18:00 on Nederzwalmstesteenweg in the Kruisem district of Zingem, according to the East Flanders Public Prosecutor's Office.
Witnesses explained that the woman's car abruptly drove off the road and smashed into a tree, killing her instantly.

They also stated that no other cars were involved in the collision, and the woman was adhering to the speed limit.
As a result, the Public Prosecutor's Office has chosen not to assign a traffic expert to further investigate the accident.
