PULSATE is an EU funded project launched in September 2022 with a main goal to lower the barriers of adopting laser technologies in SMEs.
To achieve this challenging goal, PULSATE has brought together the top European research and technology centers and under the wings of EU funding created a unique platform that supports the adoption of laser technologies within the Europe.
Laser technologies such as cutting, welding, surface texturing and additive manufacturing are real game-changers in many industries. These technologies allow companies to achive higher efficiency in production due to precision and speed but also sustainability thanks to minimal waste.
Process monitoring and sample characterization can also benefit of the properties of lasers as illumination or inspection tools, as a way to control and ensure the quality of the manufacturing process.
Despite these advantages many SMEs struggle to introduce these technologies in their facilities due to high implementation cost, integration challenges and lack of trained staff.
The PULSATE project is here to lower these barriers by bringing together partners that can support the SMEs in the implementation of these technologies. PULSATE services ranges from specialized course and training, matchmaking, manufacturing improvement assistance or possibility to use facilities/machines in one of the research centers.
In the last 4 years, PULSATE has supported more than 60 companies in their journay towards more innovative and efficient manufacturing and created stable network including the whole value chain. More about PULSATE here: https://www.pulsate.eu/
