The Cinemamed Festival has been committed to promoting the multiculturalism that enriches the capital of Brussels, inviting the public to discover films by authors rooted in the Mediterranean landscape.
The next event will be the 21st edition and will take place from December 2nd– 11th at the Cinéma Palace, the Cinéma Aventure and BOZAR. Based on its past experiences, it will take a hybrid form and will offer a selection of exclusive films online on the Belgian platform Sooner or you can visit their website and social networks to discover the whole program and the guests.
This year’s event includes a new competitive section – the Rêvolution Competition, A Look on Tomorrow, a selection of 8 films and documentaries that are sometimes moving, and sometimes funny. This section aims to highlight today’s youth and the challenges they face. This new competition includes titles like La Traviata, My Brothers and I by Yohan Manca and Casablanca Beats by Nabil Ayouch. Also on the program is the Official Competition, with a series of exclusive feature films such as Tom Medina by Tony Gatlif and Good Mother by Hafsia Herzi.
In addition to the competitions, the selection of documentaries and films promises to be, as usual, rich and powerful.
The Cinemamed is also a meeting place conducive to debate. The audience will be able to discuss directly with film professionals such as David Murgia, Nabil Ayouch or the rising star Luàna Bajrami.
This year also marks the return of concerts and the festival’s beloved mediterranean market, as well as a multitude of events. A variety of ways to discover all the richness of the Mediterranean basin!
