The dry weather will return gradually on Saturday to all regions, with clear skies in the west and centre of the country, according to the Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI).
A yellow alert for slippery conditions has been issued for the morning hours in Liège and Luxembourg provinces, while the Ardennes could see an additional 1 to 2 cm of snowfall, Belga News Agency reports based on the RMI’s Saturday morning forecast.
The cloud cover will still be heavy in the Ardennes during the morning.
The weather will be dry in all regions in the afternoon, with beautiful sunshine in the west, but the skies will still be very cloudy in the east. The cloud cover will increase towards the end of the day, starting in the west, but the weather will generally remain dry until the evening hours.
Highs will range from 0 degrees in the Ardennes to 7 degrees on the coast.
Slight to moderate rainfall is expected in the evening, starting in the west, then spreading after nightfall to the centre of the country, before moving, during the latter part of the night, to the eastern provinces, where it could be preceded by melting rain.
On Sunday, the skies will be very cloudy, with bouts of slight rain or drizzles. The weather will be milder, with maximum temperatures ranging from 4 degrees in Hautes Fagnes to 12 degrees in the west of the country.
