The Czech Republic and Slovakia will fully reopen their internal border from Thursday, Slovak Prime Minister Igor Matovic announced on Wednesday.

Access between the two countries, which were one until 1993, had been restricted since mid-March due to the new coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis.

Until now, citizens could only cross the border for up to 48 hours.
