    Temperatures continue to rise as Belgium struggles to face the heat, a Dutch actress is arrested for the possession of drugs with the intention of dealing at Tomorrowland, and Belgium goes viral.

    A group of Belgian army cadets have captured international attention after a video showing them awkwardly marching off-rhythm during the national day military parade was viewed hundreds of thousands of times on social media. Read more.

    2. Belgium’s could reach the highest temperature ever recorded on Thursday

    Get your ice creams ready, as Belgium’s highest recorded temperature ever could fall on Thursday, meteorologist Frank Deboosere warned on Monday. Given the maximum that the Royal Meteorological Institute (MRI) expects for Thursday, the 27 June 1947 record could be broken. Read more.

    3. Tomorrowland: Dutch actress arrested for possession of large quantity of drugs

    A Dutch actress arrested during the first weekend of Tomorrowland festival for drug possession remains in detention after she confessed she intended to sell the drugs in preparation for an acting role, the public prosecutor’s office confirmed. Read more.

    4. Tomorrowland braces for heatwave during second festival weekend

    A heatwave action plan will be put in place for the second weekend of the Tomorrowland music festival, as temperatures in Belgium are expected to reach the high thirties from Wednesday. The organisers of the festival are studying the implementation of measures in order to better prepare staff and festival-goers for the scorching heat during the four-day festivities. Read more.

    6. No metro between Yser and Elisabeth next weekend due to works

    On the weekend of July 27 and 28, the works will be carried out over the metro tunnel and will require the interruption of metro traffic between Yser and Elisabeth, STIB said in a statement.     7. Vehicle catches fire after collision in Schaerbeek

    A delivery van caught fire after it collided with a bus in a boulevard in the Brussels municipality of Schaerbeek on Monday afternoon. No people were injured in the accident, which took place at around 16:50 in Boulevard Auguste Reyers near the Diamant metro station.Read more.
