Four Belgian festivals nominated for European Festival Awards

Four Belgian festivals, including Rock Werchter and Tomorrowland, have been nominated at the European Festival Awards, said the organisation in a statement on Wednesday. Over one million festival-goers and music fans from 35 different countries voted to elect the best European festivals in Europe as part of the European Festival Awards. Festivals can be nominated in different categories including Best Major Festival or Best Line-up.
Rock Werchter has been nominated in the Best Line-up and the Best Major Festival categories. The electro festival Tomorrowland was selected in the Best Major Festival category.
Feest in het Park Oudenaarde, near Ghent was selected in the Best Small Festival category. The Limburg musical event Your’in is being considered for the Best New Festival award.
The singer Stromae was nominated in the Best Headliner category.
The Belgium promoters ID & T and Live Nation are also nominated for an award.
