The Belgian superstar Stromae will perform at the Californian music festival, Coachella. Also performing will be Australian rockers AC/DC, the American Jack White and electro star David Guetta. This festival will take place in April.
Other big names performing at the festival, which is one of the biggest in the United States, are Alabama Shakes, Florence and the Machine, the Scottish soft pop act Belle and Sebastian, and the Canadian rapper Drake. The organizers announced the line-up in Tuesday.
The festival takes place over two lots of three days, during the first weekends in April. Hard rock veterans AC/DC and jazz rock act Steely Dan will open the festival on Friday the 10th of April. Jack White will be the headliner on the Saturday, and Drake on Sunday.
The same artists, around 150 in total, will perform again the following weekend (17th to the 19th) in Indio, in the Californian Colorado desert (West of the United States).
Interpol, Alabama Shakes, Azealia Banks, Lykke Li, the electro group Caribou, Agnus and Julia Stone, the New Zealander Kimbra, who sang the global hit “Somebody that I used to know” with the Belgo-Australian Gotye, will all perform in front of tens of thousands of people.
The Breton electro-pop group Yelle, Coachella veterans, and the Lyonnais DJ Gesaffelstein, will also perform at the multi-stage festival, which is dedicated to varied musical styles (rock, pop, rap, electro, etc…). It also exposes modern art.
The tickets not sold in advance will be available to buy from Wednesday on the site Coachella.com.
