The site lafourchette.be launches its first Gastronomy festival

The restaurant reservation website lafourchette.be will launch its first Gastronomy festival on the 2nd of March, which will last until the 15th. The company, set up in Belgium at the start of November 2014, will offer reductions on house menus or menus created especially for the event at more than 50 establishments in the capital. The restaurants taking part will offer 20,000 reductions of 20 to 50% on dishes available on their menus (not including drinks) or a special value discovery menu.

The establishments are divided into six categories, each led by an emblematic chef: gastronomic dishes in “Select toques” (Pascal Devalkeneer from “Chalet de la fôret”), Italian and Mediterranean dishes in “Sun in the kitchen” (Giovanni Bruno from “Senza Nome”), creative nouvelle cuisine in “Fresh attitude” (Damien Bouchéry from “Bouchéry”), latest trends in “Dandylicious” (Pierre Balthazar from “The Restaurant”), traditional brasserie in “Bistro good” Geoffrey Roland from “Les Armes de Bruxelles”), and Asiatic flavours in “Asian food” (Salto Haruki from “Samouraï”).

To benefit from these offers and to reserve a table, gastronomy lovers can go to www.lafourchette.be from Wednesday onwards.

The Gastronomy festival will take place twice a year. “I love the idea that thanks to LaFourchette, people who don’t yet know my restaurant will be coming through the door”, says Pascal Devalkeneer.

Lafourchette.be has 500 restaurants in Brussels and its outskirts on its list, and has started branching out to Flanders and Wallonia. The tri-lingual communal gastronomic guide has 13 employees, and was used to book 15,000 tables in just three months.
