Brussels agency launches Pan-European online platform to serve the arts and the creative industries

A new pan-European online platform platform, named Culture Agora has been created  at the service of big and small cultural and creative organizations and activities. The platform, is now launched in full operational mode, in collaboration with the European Union DG for Culture and Education. The World Wide Web is full of information of all kinds, but that can be overwhelming. Funding, job or training opportunities, events within festivals, awards are ranked in such a way that a large amount of culture-related information remains »hidden« even if it is online. This applies as well to videos potentially interesting to a niche transeuropean audience: a festival press conference, a lecture, a workshop, a master class,  the stellar moments of a film awards’ ceremony.

This new wiki tool is conceived as a place in which information becomes manageable, filterable, and constantly updated; freely available for all users interested in any area of culture and the creative industries. Users can also look for a partner to a potential cultural project or post such an offer for others to find, search for grants and other funding opportunities, identify live job offers in the creative sector and find training opportunities.

Culture Agora is managed by Cumediae, a Brussels based international?non-profit agency providing consultancy services in the field of Creative andCultural Industries, founded under the direct influence of?the UNESCO 2005 Convention on Cultural diversity by former Member of the European Parliament and former Director of Spain’s Film Agency, Ignasi Guardans.
