A Tintin drawing sells for 1.55 million euros at an auction in Paris

An original drawing from “Walked on the Moon” by the Belgian author Hergé sold for a record price of 1.55 million euros. This was announced by the Artcurial auction house.

The drawing (50 x 35cm) is in Chinese ink and white gouache. It shows Tintin, Snowy and Captain Haddock in spacesuits, enjoying zero gravity on the Moon.

They are watching a “clair de Terre”. It represents the title of the story, and was estimated at between 700,000 and 900,000 euros.
