Berlinale 2017 – Belgian co-production “InSyrinated” gets another award at the Berlinale

“InSyrinated” by Belgian director Philippe Van Leeuw won the Prix du Public in the Panorama section on Saturday evening. It’s the second award the feature film has won at the Festival, as it won the Label Europe Cinema prize on Friday.

“InSyrinated”, shown as a World Premiere in Berlin, is the second feature film by director Van Leeuw. It tells the story of a family in Damas, Syria, in wartime.

InSyrinated is produced by Altitude 100 Production (Belgium) and Liason Cinématographique (France). It was co-produced with Minds Meet (Belgium), Né à Beyrouth (Liban), Versus Production, VOO and Be TV.

The Prix du Public has existed since 1999, and is awarded based on public votes after the screening.
