Tomorrowland is third most expensive festival in Europe

With a three-day pass going at 281 euros, Tomorrowland ranks third among Europe’s most expensive festivals, according to a study by the French platform, Voyages Détective, which puts the average cost of season tickets for European music festivals at 211 euros. The Internet site studied ticket prices on festivals’ official websites in April.  First prize for the costliest full passes went to the Sziget Festival in Hungary, which costs 310 euros. However, when its eight-day duration is factored in, the Sziget becomes a highly attractive proposition from a financial point of view.

The second most expensive festival, Denmark’s eight-day Roskilde music festival, costs 282 euros,

one euro more than Tomorrowland, but it is five days longer.

Still, Tomorrowland is the festival most sought after on the Internet in France, with an average 90,500 searches per month, and Belgium (about 75,000), way ahead of Sziget and Roskilde. When its 400,000 tickets were made available online in February for the international public, they found buyers in less than an hour!

The least expensive festival, Exit, is organized in Serbia and costs 112 euros for four days of festivities (28 euros per day). It is also the festival that generates the least interest online, with only about 480 searches per month.
