Couleur Café takes place this year the w.end of 29 June – 1 July, at the park by the Atomium. On top of countless concerts and DJ-sets on 7 stages, festival goers can as usually expect colourful bars, interactive animations, swinging brass bands, amazing acrobats and great food experiences. For this year, the organisers have announced that they will set up a huge screen for all the football fans to enjoy the World Cup.
The first day features the Caribbean beats of Unicum Brassband, the Mali duo Amadou & Mariam and Domso amongst many others. Last year’s big hit, Bankra Bike Soundsystem party bikers are also returning. To relax and catch ones breath between the acts, the “chill zones” from last year have been enlarged with five times more hammocks, some of them high-up in the trees.
For lovers of Balkan music, the Borokov squad will play on one of the main stages bringing lots of horns, a mobile guitar, basic drum works and an accordion, while they revisit famous Balkan classics.
Campers will be able to continue the party until 4am at the afterparty in “El Pueblo”, the heart of the campsite.
In addition, all ticket holders get to use free public transportation in Brussels thanks to the STIB Event Pass code on their ticket. The full line-up is now set and can be viewed on: www.couleurcafe.be/en/line-up/abc/
