Ed Sheeran wows fans by predicting Red Devils win at concert in Werchter

Ed Sheeran wowed the 65,000 fans who flocked to the Werchter plain on Sunday evening with a long series of hits and a show of support for the Red Devils. The British singer predicted that Belgium’s national squad would win the football World Cup in Russia and, at the end of the concert, he appeared on stage wearing the Number 14 Dries Mertens jersey and waving the Belgian flag.

The pop star began the evening with "Castle on the Hill" and "Eraser". As he started "The A Team", he stressed that it was his first success and that he had sung it at his first Belgian show, at the Ancienne Belgique in front of 200 spectators.

He followed up with the tubes "Don't", "Dive", "Bloodstream" and "Happier", then the public began dancing to "Galway Girl". The concert ended on the global hits "Shape of You" and "You Need Me, I Don't Need You".

The singer with the broad smile and the red hair showed great interest in the World Cup and around 10 p.m., he informed the public that the score in the Croatia-Denmark match was 1-1 after 90 minutes.
