The acclaimed Jane restaurant in Antwerp has been given (another) recognition with an inclusion on TripAdvisor's list of the world's best luxury restaurants.
At the Traveller's Choice Awards, the star restaurant won fifth-best restaurant in the world, making it the highest-ranked luxury restaurant across Belgium, according to the list.
In first place on the TripAdvisor list is TRB Hutong in Beijing, China, followed by Epicure in Paris, France, in second place. Ristorante Villa Crespi in Orta San Guilio, Italy, stole third place, while fourth place was taken by Benazuza in Cancun, Mexico.
The Jane opened its doors in March 2014 after several years of planning by the chefs Sergio Herman and Nick Bril.
The restaurant won its first Michelin star in 2014, the same year that it opened, and its second star the following year.
