On Tuesday, local police in Grammont (East Flanders) confiscated the Ferrari of a taxpayer who owed 10,000 euros in unpaid vehicle taxes. This operation was carried out in collaboration with the Flemish tax office. The vehicle owner will only be able to reclaim the car after the debt has been paid. A total of 1,590 vehicles were inspected on Tuesday. The police wrote up 32 PV for unpaid vehicle taxes for a total amount of 27,172 euros.
Aside from the Ferrari, three more vehicles were confiscated because their drivers did not have insurance or valid registration papers.
