On Saturday, a domestic dispute which erupted in an apartment in Ostend resulted in the death of a man. On Wednesday, the Bruges prosecutor revealed that, according to the autopsy, the cause of death was multiple stab wounds to the throat.
The victim’s partner, a 37- year old Macedonian woman was taken into custody and is suspected of inflicting the stab wounds to her 39-year old partner. The woman immediately confessed.
According to the medical examiner, the wounds were fatal. On Friday, the woman, who is seven months pregnant, will appear before the Council Chamber of Bruges which will determine how long she must remain in custody.
