The University of Antwerp makes the QS Top 50 under 50 List

The University of Antwerp is the only Belgian university on the list of Top 50 under 50 universities published every year by the UK office, QS Quacquarelli Symonds. According to a QS statement made on Wednesday, the university, which is at 14th place, lost 4 places from last year. The list only contains universities which were founded during the last 50 years. The Nanyang Technological University (NTU) tops the list, followed by the University of Science and Technology Hong Kong (USTHK), which ranked first last year. The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) completes the Top 3.

Twenty five countries made it to the Top 50. Australia, with 10 universities on the list, is the country with the most universities on theTop 50 list. Spain follows with 5, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom each have four and Germany three.

In the overall 2014-2015 QS World University Rankings, which includes all universities, Antwerp holds the 205th spot. KU Leuven is in the 82nd position making it the only Belgian university to make it to the Top 100.
