Two years after he admitted having non-authorised sexual relations with patients over the last 20 years, the Leuvan psychiatrist Walter Vanderecyken, aged 65, was definitively suspended by the Union of Doctors. This was reported by De Staandard and Het Nieusblad on Tuesday. As a consequence, he can no longer practice medicine. The Doctor, who taught at the KUL, also had a private cabinet at Kessel-Lo and worked at the Tirlemont psychiatric clinic.
Following his statements, the KUL, first suspended than fired him.
