The Belgian Red Cross intervened 26 times and evacuated 14 people to hospital during the national demonstration, its spokesperson Nancy Ferroni said at around 3pm on Thursday. No serious cases have been reported. The medical chief at the scene said they had dealt with fights, falls, and medical problems. The 1.30pm summary reported indicated 10 people had already been treated and 3 evacuated.
At the request of the organizers, the Belgian Red Cross had made a fleet of two ambulances, two mobile intervention teams and two mobile infirmaries available. Around twenty first aiders were mobilized all together.
