Leopold III's Cadillac to return to Belgium

King Leopold III's Cadillac went under the hammer last Sunday and was bought by a Belgian collector for 20,000 euros during an auction held by Osenat in Lyons (France), reported Sudpresse on Monday. "The buyer wasn't at the auction and bid by telephone," said Osenat's Stéphane Pavot. The bidding started at 15,000 euros. The car, a 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Coupe in excellent condition with only 5,300km on the clock, previously belonged to a French collector. It will find a new home, again, in Belgium.

The identity of the buyer has not been revealed.
