Today, Flanders is the best place to live, tax-wise. This is due to low registration fees in the North of the country that really make a difference compared to the two other regions, L’Echo and De Tijd reported on Friday.
The low registration costs for the North, compared to the two other regions, benefits families that want to acquire property enormously. The tax bill for a family that wants to settle and own their house in one of the three regions will be 20% higher in Walloon compared to Flanders for the tax year 2014, while the bill for Brussels is between the two.
