The Belgian center for cyber security will not be ready before 2015

Initially excepted to be ready by the end of the year, the Belgian center for cyber security will only begin operating “beginning of 2015” according to the cabinet of Prime minister Charles Michel, the “Libre Belgique” quoted the cabinet on Saturday. The text for the royal decree for the establishment of the center had been signed by Elio Di Rupo when he was Prime minister and sent to the royal Palace for the King to sign. However, there it seems to have been blocked. The king preferred to wait for the new majority government to be established until he signed.

It is now the case. “The royal establishment for the creation of the Belgian centre for cyber security has been signed by the King and will be published at the Belgian official gazette later this month”. The cabinet of Charles Michel announces that a director will be appointed later this month who will go on to choose his personnel.
