Bouffioulx: a Chihuahua stolen and another dog hit with a axe

A couple from Bouffioulx (Châtelet) were attacked by six individuals in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The suspects broke into the couple's house, and gassed them. They made off with two phones, a handbag and a Chihuahua. They also hit the couple's other dog with an axe. The violent attack happened in a house on the rue Mont Chevreuil in Bouffioulx, said local police.

At around 1.30am, the couple opened their door, thinking a friend had come to see them. Six hooded men forced their way in and used tear gas, and the letter box as a weapon. The men hit one of the dogs with an axe before taking the other, a Chihuahua. The six attackers then fled with a handbag and two iPhones.

When informed, the local Châtelet-Aiseau-Farciennes police immediatly opened an investigation.

The Chihuahua was found the next day at a neighbours' house. The other dog received 27 stitches.
