A man threatened several De Lijn controllers on a bus in Beveren on Saturday morning. The man then fled, the Termonde divison of the Eastern Flanders Prosecutor’s Office announced. The man got onto a bus at around 8.30am at a station in Melsele. The bus then headed towards Saint-Nicolas.
Ten minutes later, a routine control was done at Polenlaan in Beveren.The man resisted and threatened the controllers with a gun before fleeing.
An appeal for witnesses was launched by the Prosecutor’s Office and the police to help find the individual.
