Bomb alert at the Charleroi Courthouse: a security parameter set up

The Charleroi Courthouse was evacuated on Wednesday evening due to a bomb alert. The roads around the site have been closed. Sniffer dogs are at the scene.

A bomb alert was set off at the Charleroi Courthouse on Wednesday at 9 am, the local police confirm. They are said to have received an anonymous telephone call, but this could not be confirmed by a police source. The Palace’s two buildings were immediatly evacuated. The majority of the staff took shelter in a new police house. The roads around the site were closed by law enforcement. Sniffer dogs are searching the Courthouse. Everyone present atthis morning‘s were aware of an attempted assassination in the sixth Correctional Chamber. The victims had been threatened on the past, and one had their house burned down. At this moment in time, it is not known if the events are linked.
