The Antwerp Correctional Tribunal held the 7th day of the terrorism trial for the islamic group Sharia4Belgium. It appears there will be an eighth day, as Counsel John Maes, one of the lawyers for Fouad Belkacem, is absent for personal reasons. The defence for the main accused will probably not be presented before the 10th of December. 46 accused have been charged with managing or taking part in terrorist activities. The Public Prosection requested up to 15 years in prison, the maximum sentence, for certain members of the group, including Fouad Belkacem. Only 9 accused appeaed during the trial, the other are in Syria or have since died.
The trail will take place with high police protection and heightened security measures. These are however less strict than the previous session in October.
