    Cash Register for catering industry operators compulsory as of January 1st

    Operators in the catering sector (‘horeca’ – hotel, restaurant, café) will have to use a cash register from January 1st, 2015. Business owners have until February 28th to sign up to the cash register system (SCE – système de caisse enregistreuse). Their SCE must ultimately be activated by December 31st, 2015. This measure only applies to businesses which see over 10% of their turnover from customers eating in.
