Still no trace of the boat that went missing in the channel with a Belgian on board

On Wednesday evening, there was still no trace of the fishing boat sailing under Belgian colours with four people on board, including a Belgian. It disappeared off the coast of Kent, in the Channel. “Everything points to the boat having sunk”, said a spokesman from the Dutch Coast-guard, late on Wednesday. They had been searching for fishing boat Z-85 during the evening. Contact with the vessel was lost during the day. The British Coast-guard deployed two life-boats and two helicopters to try and find the boat. France also sent a helicopter, and several fishing boats joined the search party.

The Captain and one of the crew are Dutch. The two other members of the crew are a Belgian and a Portuguese.
