Almost 430,000 passengers (429,820) travelled with Brussels Airlines in January, which represents an increase of 4.6% compared to January 2014, announced Brussels Airlines in a press release on Tuesday. European flights saw an increase of 8.3% in the number of flyers. “This upsurge is partly due to the availability of flights within Europe, which, in spite of increased competition, have become more popular. Therefore Brussels Airlines’ new pricing and product strategy have allowed the company to continue its growth trend in January. Seat occupancy remained stable,” said the company.
At the same time, Brussels Airlines operated holiday flights and group trips for tour-operators over the same period.
