Nearly 2 million Belgians watched the final

The Belgian Cup final, which saw Bruges beat Anderlecht 2-1 at the end of Sunday afternoon, attracted more than 2 million viewers. VRT recorded the highest result for a club match since the current measures were put in place in 1997. There were an average of 1,342 viewers, a 54.1% share of the market. RTBF attracted 452,000 viewers, 26.3% of the market. The Flemish public station even recorded a peak of 1.7 million viewers at the end of the match. RTBF can say it attracted 640,000 viewers for at least quarter of an hour, according to figures from the Media Information Centre (MIC).
