A young man who was seriously injured during an accident in Huy (Liège province) in the early hours of Saturday morning died in hospital later that day. This is according to the Huy division of the Liège Prosecutor’s office. Around 3am, there was a traffic accident involving two vehicles in rue René Dubois, in Statte (Huy). The young man, who was 19, lost control of his vehicle before crashing into a car coming the other way. Seriously injured, he was taken to the Citadelle clinic in Liège in a critical condition. He died later on Saturday, the Prosecutor’s office has said.
The two people in the other car, who were slightly injured, were taken to the Huy regional hospital (CHR). An automobile expert was called in by the Prosecutor’s office. The young man speeding was the cause of the accident, according to the magistrate.
