The 80-year-old man who killed his 67-year-old wife suffering from cancer by strangling her with her bathrobe belt at their home on Avenue de Fre in Uccle last April 7th, has been conditionally released, revealed papers from the Sudpresse group on Saturday. The Brussels prosecutor confirmed the conditional release, and added he was still charged with murdering his wife. According to the 80-year-old, he only followed his wife’s wishes as she had been suffering for years. Indeed, he turned himself in to the police. The man has been sent to a nursing home in Uccle, pending a judicial decision. He suffers from Parkinson’s disease, and highlighted their desperate family and financial situation.
