Man's body found in canal in Anderlecht

Brussels Public Prosecutor's office has announced that the body (incomplete) of a 39-year-old man was found in the canal in Anderlecht on Tuesday. It is thought to be a suicide.  The Forensic Science Laboratory and a forensic expert were immediately sent to the scene.  The body was found in the section of the canal behind the Anderlecht abattoirs.  ID was found in his clothes. Just under a week ago, a witness claims to have seen someone jump into the water about 100 metres from where the body was found and Brussels Public Prosecutor's office believe it to be the same man.  A closer examination of the body of the deceased will take place in a few days to determine if this is indeed the case.
