The Gambling Commission has banned an 81 year old lady in Eastern Flanders from playing the lottery games. She was spending a fortune on scratch cards and lottery games like Euromillions. This is the first time someone has found themselves on the blacklist for the lottery games, the Mediahuis papers said on Monday. The woman’s son asked the Gambling Commission to ban her. “I couldn’t see any other option”, he said.
The woman has been banned for an undetermined period of time. “This is the first time it has been applied to lottery games”, says Marjolein De Paepe, from the Gambling Commission.
