Customs officials have revealed a hoard of a staggering 8.5 million counterfeit cigarettes in Grâce-Hollogne in the province of Liège. The cigarettes were seized by customs, announced the finance minister on Tuesday. The cigarettes had been hidden among other products in a container destined for the UK. The police questioned 5 suspects they believe to be part of the smuggling operation. Although the operation finale took place in Liège, the investigation was undertaken by Antwerp Customs.
