Antwerp zoo is mourning the death of its Siberian tiger Kharlan. The 16 year old tiger’s health had considerably worsened recently, so the zoo decided to euthanize him. The zoo now has only one Siberian tiger, Yessie, who is 17. But, as tiger’s are solitary animals, she shouldn’t mind being on her own.
The zoo is not planning to be without a tiger in the future, and is even planning to construct a new tiger enclosure.
