A five year old child fell out a second floor window in an apartment building at around 10pm on Saturday evening. He was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
The early stages of the investigation have shown that the fall was accidental. The child was jumping on an armchair before falling. His parents were not in the room when he fell.
After the emergency services arrived, the police had to remove curious onlookers, so the ambulance could get through.
The boy was taken to the Antwerp University hospital in a critical condition.
